Slip Dresses

I have been obsessed with slip and lingerie dresses ever since Spring RTW 2016.  In particular, I was swooning over the slip dresses at the Saint Laurent and Givenchy shows.  To me, they epitomize laid-book, cool glamour.  This one from Saint Laurent was my favorite.

Here are some of my picks that are currently on sale:

This lame gown was the opening dress at the Saint Laurent show.

I loved Riccardo Tisci’s darkly beautiful Givenchy Spring RTW 2016 show (with New York City as the backdrop).   Here’s a beautiful midi slip from that collection:

Must Haves for Different Personal Styles (Part Quatre)

This is part four of our five part series on Must Haves for Different Personal Styles with Amy Roseveare.  To date, Amy has shared her capsule collections for  women with Classic, Bohemian, and Glamorous styles.  This week, Amy presents her Must Haves for the Fashion Forward woman.

Amy:  It’s often the fashion forward woman who makes us stop and think, “Hmm…I haven’t seen that before!” And center to this style is a brand new bag silhouette, like this wristlet by Celine.

Equally trend-setting are these Dries Van Noten sandals, with beading and a very interesting pattern on the block heel.

And there’s no question that the fashion forward gal must own a Spinelli Kilcollin ring.  You can wear it on one finger, or spread it out among multiple fingers and layer it with other rings. Fab! And in this case, the gold loops tie right back in with  the gold circle detail on the bag.

Must Haves for Different Personal Styles (Part Trois)

This is part three of our five part series on Must Haves for Different Personal Styles with Amy Roseveare.  I am loving Amy’s picks so far for each personal style.  To date, Amy has shared her capsule collections for  women with Classic and Bohemian styles.  This week, Amy presents her Must Haves for a woman with a Glamorous take on style.

Amy:  Glamour girls always want eyes on them when they walk into a room, so they’ve got to have some accessories with distinction. This three-colored bag with gold details by Chloe would certainly draw my attention!

Pulling out the grey tone from the bag, these dreamy Gianvito Rossi suede booties would elevate any outfit, from jeans to a pencil skirt.

To tie the warm and cool tones together, and add a dash of bling (a necessity, of course!). This modern diamond cuff by Ileana Makri does the trick.  J Lo would probably wear one on each wrist!

Must Haves for Different Personal Styles (Part Deux)

Last week, we started our five part series on Must Haves for Different Personal Styles with Amy Roseveare, a much sought after stylist and image consultant.  Amy shared her capsule collection for the woman with Classic Style.  This week, Amy presents her Must Haves for Bohemian Style.

Amy:  This season’s bohemian doesn’t mean that you look like you just walked out of the Haight Ashbury.  Instead, it’s a bit more of a refined look, yet still with natural details that appeal to a gypsy’s heart. First up is this Bottega Veneta bag. With the mix of texture, subtle shine and snakeskin, it will take you day to evening.

There’s always room for fringe accents in a bohemian closet, and I adore these suede sandals by Chloe. The gold bar really makes them modern!

Carrying this gold detail to the wrist, this Maiyet cuff packs some punch with the grey horn plate.

ALEXIS BITTAR FALL EMERALD / ART DECO PIECES

I am completely obsessed with Alexis Bittar’s fall 2012 collection.  The colors are incredible including a beautiful black forest (emerald green) and malachite pattern.  Gorgeous!  I visited the Madison Avenue store when I was in New York in July (my mouth was open the entire time) and now I am on a first name basis with the sales associate at the Fillmore Street Store in San Francisco (ask for Dorie).

Here are some of my favorites:
